A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a permanent Part Time Bookkeeper / Personal Assistant for a multiple business owner. This is an exciting opportunity is for someone who has previous experience of working within a Bookkeeping / Personal Assistant role.

This is a stand-alone position working from a residential address in West Wittering, supporting an individual with a portfolio of business and charitable interests (primarily consisting of property and financial management).

The position is offered on a part time basis working around 14 to 25 hours per week. Hours & rate to be discussed.


  • Provision of financial information for Director
  • Updating financial overview sheet showing up to date debtor/creditor position
  • Monitoring cash-flow to maximise cash position.
  • Recording of invoices & payments
  • Updating payment sheets with monies received
  • Posting of financial transactions
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Processing credit card and petty cash transactions
  • Assisting external accountants with financial information in order to prepare annual accounts
  • Proactive diary management; planning and scheduling appointments and meetings, with optimum efficiency, sensitivity and reliability
  • Writing letters as requested.
  • Creating documents, spread sheets,
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required
  • Maintain manual/electronic filing systems, filing documents promptly
  • Manage and facilitate multiple property utility arrangements

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
  • A willingness to carry out a variety of tasks necessitated by small businesses
  • Adaptability and be keen to take a flexible approach to work, be prepared to be flexible to work later hours, as and when required, on urgent client-related matters
