About the role
This is a fantastic Basingstoke based hybrid Assistant Accountant role with an established financial services business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in the day-to-day reporting under the direction of the Finance Manager.
They will provide the training, both in house for relevant technical knowledge and also professional qualifications to enhance your professional development. .
- Meeting the day to day reporting requirements
- Reviewing bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation;
- Preparation & review of VAT and Corporate tax computations;
- Preparation of periodic management accounts and reports;
- Providing insights to any account variances from previous periods’;
- Preparation of financial statements;
- Handling client accounting related queries
- Studying towards an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) desirable
- Hands on experience in delivering financial reports
- At least 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a relevant accounting role
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise and plan effectively
- You will need to be quick to learn new systems and be great with people
- We are looking for a candidate with good inter-personal skills and a collaborative approach
What is on offer
- Base Salary range: £30,000 – £33,000 (depending on experience)
- Working hours: Monday – Friday. Hybrid working offered
